We are seeking volunteers with experience in psychiatry, therapy, or trauma-informed care to support an individual recovering from post-war PTSD symptoms. The person is doing everything they can to return to normal life, but the psychological burden is evident. They do not identify their symptoms as a mental health issue and would likely decline direct therapeutic support. Because of this, the volunteering role is built around natural, human-level interaction rather than formal therapy. Volunteers will provide: • Informal conversational support framed as English-language practice. • Calm, grounded presence to help the individual regulate and reconnect with daily life. • Trauma-aware communication that maintains dignity and avoids triggering terminology.
