Our volunteering dashboard features a dynamic search system. You can search by typing keywords related to the opportunity or project name. The search updates automatically as you type (after a brief delay). You can also use multiple filters simultaneously - filter by project category, required skills, activity type (hours per week), country, or check the box to show only virtual opportunities.

We offer both virtual and on-site volunteering opportunities across various Palestinian projects and organizations. Opportunities range from 1-5 hours per week to 25+ hours per week, spanning different categories like nonprofits, research organizations, tech companies, and advocacy groups. Each opportunity lists the specific skills required and provides detailed descriptions of the work involved.

No, VFP does not facilitate or handle any payment transactions between volunteers and project maintainers. While some opportunities may offer compensation, any payment arrangements are made directly between the volunteer and the project/organization. VFP serves as a platform to connect volunteers with opportunities but is not involved in financial transactions.

Project maintainers review applications and select volunteers based on required skills, experience, and fit for the specific opportunity. Some opportunities may require a screening process. Once you apply, the project owner will review your application and can reach out to you through the platform's private messaging system if they're interested. You can track your application status and view any messages in your Volunteer Dashboard.

Once a volunteer applies to your opportunity, you can message them directly through the Application Management page in your Project Dashboard. Go to Project Dashboard → Opportunities → Manage Applications, and you'll see a "Contact Volunteer" button for each application. This opens a private conversation thread where you can communicate with the volunteer. Both parties can reply via email or directly on the platform, and the conversation history is saved for reference.
-
After you apply for an opportunity, you can communicate with the project team through your Application Dashboard. Navigate to Volunteer Dashboard → My Applications, find your application, and click "Contact Project Team" to start or continue a conversation. You can also reply to their messages via email, and all conversations are tracked in one place for easy reference.

No, your email address and contact information remain completely private when browsing opportunities. Your email is only shared with a project team after you submit an application for their opportunity AND they choose to contact you. This privacy-first approach ensures you maintain control over who can reach you directly. Similarly, project team emails remain private until they initiate contact with applicants through the conversation system.
